In recent years, the old oil paintings have drawn increasing attention as the market in the Mainland and the warlords in Hong Kong and Taiwan have been heating up. Spring 2011 Ravenel auction of Hong Kong, Chang Yu’s “Five Nude” shot a price of 128 million Hong Kong dollars, the price of the old paintings pulled into the “billion era.” The old oil painting has experienced ups and downs of more than 100 years. Under the continuous fiery birth of the art market in recent years, it has begun to show its due value. Old oil painting, in a narrow sense refers to the oil painting created before 1949, which is usually referred to as the Republic of China oil painting, early oil painting. If the time horizon is relaxed, the oil paintings created before 1966 “Cultural Revolution” can be included in the category of old oil paintings. At present, there are no specific concepts in the art market. It is more common to refer to these types of oil paintings as old oil paintings: first oil paintings of the first and second generation of old painters, and secondly oil paintings of the earlier generation. Some older painters, such as those created in the 1980s and 1990s, are also called old paintings. From the style point of view, the more classic, old-school style of oil paintings are often referred to as the old painting. in
