Introduction Basic research in agricultural science is an important part of agricultural science research, a source of agricultural technological progress and a driving force for promoting sustainable agricultural development. Internationalization of scientific research is an era characteristic of basic research and development. International cooperation and exchange are of great significance for the development of basic research of agricultural science in our country. China is a developing country, and the state’s investment in basic research in agricultural science can not meet the needs of social and economic development. Relying on the National Natural Science Foundation of China for conducting substantive international cooperation research plays an important role in promoting the development of disciplines and personnel training. Through extensive, in-depth and substantive international cooperation, we can make basic research on agricultural science in China
