铸造刀具一般都用高速钢来制造。在硬合金刀具的生产中,铸造法迄未用过。实际上,用高级铸铁制造硬合金刀具的刀桿及刀体,是一种最理想的制造方法。车刀刀桿及铣刀体,-般都用钢来制造。其制造方法:先行鍜制,然后进行机械加工。用高级铸铁铸造车刀刀桿及铣刀体,制造所需时间很短,制造成本低廉。制造方法可以采用砂模(经金属模、机械制型)或硬模铸造法。如制造高速钢镶銲刀具时,亦可应用高级铸铁来铸造。
