Taking the advantages of high sensitivity, non-destruction, and the capability of on-line measurementat favorable conditions, thin layer activation (TLA) is recognized as a method of choice in the study onsurface loss processes of various materials. In present work, corrosion process of simulated Fe-basedmaterial (A3) was studied by TLA. The function of the residual activity versus the thickness lost fromchemical peeling and weighing is established.
