张同标新著《中印佛教造像源流与传播》论述的是印度佛教造像在形制、种类、流派等方面对中国的影响,提出了“古印度佛像影响中国的三次浪潮”的宏观论点及其相关的中印佛教造像艺术。在宏观论点与史实考据方面新意叠出的同时,对于美术史研究能否超越传统的叙事模式、能否顺利地建立起印度与中国的联系等方面都形成了独到的见解。
Zhang Tongbiao’s new book “Origin and Spread of Buddhist Statues in China and India” discusses the influence of Indian statues on China in terms of shape, genre and genre, and puts forward the macro argument of “the three tides of ancient Indian Buddhism affecting China” and their Related Buddhist statues of China and India. In the meantime, macroscopic arguments and historical facts are stacked together.
