Objective: To understand the incidence of anti-infective drug-induced adverse reactions (ADR) in our hospital and to explore the factors that cause ADR. Methods: A total of 442 ADR cases reported in our hospital from 2008 to 2009 were analyzed statistically according to sex, age, drug category, route of administration and clinical manifestations of ADR. Results: There were 65 kinds of drugs involving ADR, with cephalosporins ranking the top, followed by quinolones. The main route of administration was intravenous administration. The main types of ADR were lesions of the skin and its appendages and 44 cases of severe ADR. CONCLUSIONS: ADR monitoring of anti-infectives should continue to be strengthened. In particular, monitoring of unobservable and chronic ADR should be strengthened.
