The Society of Coastal Mouths of China Oceanic Lake Society held its second academic annual conference in Shanghai from December 29, 1981 to January 4, 1982. Chinese Academy of Sciences, the State Oceanic Administration, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Geology and tertiary institutions and the provinces and cities a total of 78 units representing 137 people attended the meeting. The conference received a total of more than 150 academic papers.
