叶风玲1岁时就失去了父亲,从此她们没有了自己的家。母亲朱孔娥双手残疾靠打短工让女儿读完小学和初中。女儿读高中时,母亲住在老师的柴房里。吃别人扔下的剩饭,过着近乎乞丐的生活,并每天捡破烂换钱,供女儿考上了向往已久的湖北大学。女儿来到武汉,本来就没有家的母亲决定继续到武汉捡破烂供女儿念大学……学校对这对母女给予了特殊的关照,社会各界对这位伟大的母亲充满了敬意,她的事迹也很快传遍了武汉。为了更加全面和真实地了解这位母亲的苦难经历和对女儿的似海深情,笔者采访了叶风玲,听她用自己饱含真情的话语讲述母亲的故事。
