我市位于河北省保定市北部,总面积742平方公里,辖15个乡、镇、办事处、开发区,人口58万。2002年,全市15个乡、镇、办事处全部普及了学前三年教育。我市“十五”规划中的幼教发展目标是:两所市办省级示范园争取一次性通过科研先导型示范园验收;到2005年,一半以上乡镇幼儿园进入示范性幼儿园行列;积极探索,把0-3岁婴幼儿早期教育纳入管理范围。
