According to the British Chemical Education, November 1983, the Northern Ireland Science and Technology Organization (NISTRO) has developed a curriculum development project. The executive board of this organization believes that in the 1980s, the application and connection of classroom surgery will be more emphasized. They developed a teacher-based curriculum development project aimed at establishing a working group of science teachers. These groups will focus their activities around the following tasks: 1. Identify current teaching materials that can be used to show students the applications of science and emphasize the social links of these applications. 2. Development of teaching/learning aids that can be used by teachers to apply the current teaching materials that are applicable in the classroom.
