In order to understand the effects of tripterygium glycosides on type 1 diabetes mellitus and T cells and the relationship between them, streptozotocin (STZ) -induced delayed-onset diabetic rats were used as research objects. On day 2 T lymphocyte subsets CD + 2, CD + 4, CD + 8, xanthine oxidase (XOD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA) and other levels. The results showed that the serum levels of XOD, MDA and CD + 4 in diabetic rats were significantly higher than those in the control group; the levels of SOD, CAT and CD + 8 were significantly decreased. After taking T11, the above indexes returned to normal after 6 to 8 weeks respectively. After T11 treatment, the changes of CD + 4, CD + 8 T cell subsets in peripheral blood of DM rats were similar to those of 12 related free radicals, indicating that there was a close relationship between the production of oxygen free radicals and the abnormal differentiation of T cell subsets in rats T11 can not only inhibit the abnormal differentiation of T cell subsets and make oxygen free radicals return to normal.
