Recently, Oracle Corporation announced the availability of Oracle Internet Directory (OID), the first directory software based on an Oracle database that can hold more than 500 million entries. The software uses powerful database technology to store directory information and thus has the outstanding scalability, reliability and security that only Oracle8i can provide, greatly improving the efficiency of enterprise users in managing large user groups, especially for ISP vendors.
