从史料看,云南自公元前3世纪就与内地有了较为密切的联系。战国有楚将庄蹻率众王滇;秦时有五尺道之开凿;至西汉武帝,中原王朝对云南的开发更是进入了高潮。经过前后三十年的经营,西汉王朝于公元前109年在云南设立郡县,大理地区则属益州郡管辖。郡县制在云南的推行,促进了边疆地区经济文化的发展和统一多民族国家的形成。
From the historical data, Yunnan Province has been in close contact with the Mainland since the 3rd century BC. Warring States Chu Chuang Zhuang led the public Wang Dian; Qin five-foot Road dredging; to the Western Han Dynasty Emperor, Central Plains dynasty on the development of Yunnan is entering its climax. After thirty years of operation, the Western Han Dynasty set up a county in Yunnan in 109 BC, while the Dali area was under the jurisdiction of Yizhou Prefecture. The implementation of the county-level system in Yunnan Province has promoted the economic and cultural development in the border areas and the formation of a unified multi-ethnic nation.
