2月5日,武医隆重召开“向从教50周年以上老师颁发荣誉证书”大会。湖北省副省长梁淑芬授予梁之彦教授荣誉证书。会上并介绍了梁老的感人事迹。梁教授今年85岁,是国内知名的生化学家,他在医学教育园地里耕耘了62个春秋,倾注了全部心血,为祖国培养了一大批高级医药和生化师资人才,为发展我国医学生化事业作出了重要贡献。梁老1923年毕业于上海同济医学院,1927赴德攻读生理化学,1929年获博士学位;回国后任副教授,1936年晋升为教授。1943～1949年赴美考察,在耶鲁大学医学院生化系任客籍研究员:回国后一直主持生化的教学和研究工作。曾先后四次兼任同济医学院院长。
