MD—11客机平稳地穿越地中海,穿越西北非,又斜穿大西洋。大西洋上空的今夜安静得连星星都睡着了。从《南美侨报》社长李建全先生向我发出邀请到中国作家代表团成行,经历了整整两年时间。开始是邀请一人,后来是一个团:来自三个城市的四位作家:我、刘震云、周桐淦、吴若增。其间签证延宕、人员变动。起初李先生希望我们在中国春节期间去过巴西的狂欢节,一年后,希望我们能赶上澳门回归的活动,最后确定在2000年4月—6月。我们顾不得顺访法国的签证是否下来,便订下了6月2日飞往法兰克福转里约热内卢的机票。于是我们从东半球飞到西半球,又从北半球飞到南半球。加上转机时间。旅途上整整30小时。难道仅仅是为着欣赏巴西这片绿太阳眷顾的风情万种的土地和拜望在这片土地上已生根的我的同胞、我的旧友新知?
