There should be a book on how computers work for archives. Archivists have been engaged in research in this area since the early 1960s in an attempt to establish a viable computer system. The paper presented by Dr. Galilefano to the International Archives Congress in Brussels in 1964 shows the results of the first coordination effort in archives, which resulted in the unanimous approval of archivists for the number of automatic data processing in principle.
