河口县位于云南省东南部,有着100多年对外开放的历史,一直是我国通往越南以及东南亚各国的重要通道,与越南老街省山水相连,具有“口岸就是县城,县城就是口岸”的天然优势。作为中国15个边境重点门户城市之一,河口已经建成通车的昆河高速公路、预计2014年年底建成通车的泛亚铁路东线与即将复航的红河航运,使其国际陆港的优势日益凸显。如今,一个开放和谐、活力四射的国际口岸城市正在滇南边陲的红河之畔逐渐崛起。
