玉林市(原玉林地区)的刑事特情工作是1984年开始全面恢复并进行改革发展起来的。在此之前只是刑侦部门单一经营。改革开放以后,人、财、物大流动,社会日益由静态型向动态型转变,治安形势也日益变得复杂和严峻。为了更好地完成侦查破案任务,我们把部分刑事案件的侦破任务下达给派出所。于是,改变了刑事特情工作由过去只是刑侦部门单一经营的“孤军奋战”的局面,形成了以刑侦部门为核心,派出所参与物建、使用特情的态势,逐步建立了适应这一时期形势需要,具有覆盖面宽,布局合理,控制能力强,信息来源广的邢事特情工作网络。
