Born in the mid-20th century, Ian McEwan is a famous British contemporary writer. Since her debut work “The First Love, Last Ritual”, published in 1975, McEwan has won awards including the Maugham Literature Award, Booker Award and a number of heavyweight awards, known as the British “national writer ”. On the basis of previous studies, this article will focus on the representative works of McEwan, focusing on such works as “Cement Garden”, “Black Dog”, “Atonement”, “At Chesil Beach” Object, explore the detailed presentation and deep explanation of the theme of family ethics by McEwan.
