草鱼是我县池塘和其他水面养殖的主要品种,其产量占养殖鱼类的40—50％,养好草鱼还能带动其他鱼类的增产。但草鱼最大弱点是易发病,是当前影响群众养鱼积极性和池塘产量的主要因素之一。为了掌握草鱼“四病”流行规律,以便更好地开展防治工作,减轻危害,提高养殖产量和优质鱼比重。为此,我们于1987年鱼病流行季节,对县内12个乡、33个村、74个组的成鱼和鱼种池进行随机调查,采用现场肉眼珍断与开座谈会相结合的方法。经调查,发现我县草鱼“四病”流行规律是:
