少儿读物的出版是我国图书出版的一个重要门类。它有三个亿的读者群,包容思想教育、文学、艺术、科普知识等多方面。1989年,由新闻出版署发起,与中国儿童少年基金会、国家教委、文化部、广播电影电视部、共青团中央、全国少工委、全国妇联等8家单位联合组成中国少年儿童读物奖励基金会,并决定每3年举办一次全国优秀少年儿童读物评选活动。今年是第二届,评选的是1989～1991年出版的少儿读物。评委们认真审读,精心筛选,严格掌握评奖标准,从60家出版社送评的353种(套)图书中,评选出全国优秀少儿读物一等奖10名,二等奖30名,三等奖60名,优秀少儿读物翻译奖6名。在评奖过程中,评委们既评出了好的少儿读物,同时也发现了一些少儿读物出版中的问题。本刊刊发的几篇评委的文章,大致可以反映这次评奖的基本情况。
The publication of children’s books is an important category of book publishing in our country. It has three hundred million readership, inclusive ideological education, literature, art, popular science knowledge and many other aspects. In 1989, it was initiated by the Press and Publication Administration and co-organized with China Children and Teenagers ’Fund, National Education Commission, Ministry of Culture, Radio, Film and Television Department, Central Youth League, National Youth Work Committee, All-China Women’s Federation and other 8 units to form the China Children’s Readers’ And decided to hold a national best juvenile children’s book selection every 3 years. This is the second year, the selection of children’s books published in 1989 ~ 1991. The judges carefully reviewed, carefully screened, rigorous grasp of the award criteria, from 60 publishers to send 353 kinds of (sets) books, selected the National Outstanding Children’s books first prize 10, second prize 30, third prize 60, excellent children’s book translation award 6. In the award process, the judges not only rated good children’s books, but also found some issues in children’s books. Articles published several jury articles, can generally reflect the basic situation of this award.
