The United States is a big blueberry producer in the world with a cultivated area of about 26,000 hm2 and an annual output of 167,000 t. Georgia is the largest blueberry producer in the United States. Due to the invasion of many fungal pathogens, the blueberry is easily decayed after harvest. Over the past 40 years, researchers have employed several techniques to control blueberry postharvest decay, such as preharvest spray fungicides, post-harvest chemicals, post-harvest cooling, and increased levels of CO2 in the environment. Researchers at Georgia State University evaluated the effects of some essential oil bio-fumigants on the post-harvest decay pathogen of blueberry fruit after inoculation under cooling conditions. The effects of biofummifiers on fruit quality and antioxidant properties were also evaluated. Test blueberry inoculation Alternaria, Botrytis cinerea and anthracnose
