随着国家自然科学基金(以下简称科学基金)资助经费的快速增长,项目申请量近年来连续快速增长,资助工作也面临了一些新的挑战。2012年仅面上项目的申请量就已达到87 778项,比2003年增长了261.7%。本文以面上项目为例,通过对近年来面上项目申请量变化的趋势分析,从申请量的科学部差异、申请人的年龄分布、申请量的地区集中度、申请单位的特征几个角度,初步探讨了我国科学基金申请量快速增长的部分原因。
