我们经常去饭店、餐厅吃饭,但是你了解厨房里的机密吗?你知道服务生、厨师的故事和他们的喜怒哀乐吗?有这么一类作者,他们潜伏在行业内,甚至本身是行业中人,他们以深喉的身份揭密了餐厅与食客之间的明争暗斗,并乐于著书讲述餐厅厨房里的幽默故事,以及食物背后的真相。多年前一本纽约厨师安东尼·伯尔顿的书大受欢迎,写的是《厨室机密》;事实上,20世纪最有名的在餐饮业混过的作者,是早年在餐馆里“像耗子一般生活着”的英国作家乔治·奥威尔,餐饮业生活催生了他的《巴黎伦敦落魄惊魂记》。本期《天下美食》就介绍几本任何外出吃饭的人看了都会发笑、或者发狂的书。

This issue of ”World Food" describes how a few people who have gone out to eat will laugh, or crazy books.
