神、舍利,是日本的盆栽用语.现已为各国盆景界人士所普遍接受,而对我国大陆来说,这词的使用还有点生疏、不很普及。我国习惯称“枯干、枯枝”。舍利原语意是指佛教高僧火化后的遗物。神,是指一种广大无边的力量所造化的,故将之称为神。这两个词语用在盆景创作上很恰当,它有一种永恒、力量、境界的意义,内涵较为丰富,比之“枯干、枯枝”要好。树木由某种原因,造成局部枯死,树皮剥落,木质变成坚韧不拔的白骨化姿态、在自然界时有发现。在盆景上呈这种情况,如出现在主干的顶梢或枝条上,称为神。如出现在主干的其他部位则称为舍
God, relic, is a potted term in Japan, which is now widely accepted by people from all over the world, while for mainland China, the use of this term is still rather unfamiliar. God refers to a kind of vast boundless power of the fortified, it will be called God. These two terms are very appropriate for the creation of bonsai. They have the meaning of eternity, strength, and realm. They are rich in connotation and are better than “withered, dead branches”. Trees for some reason, causing local withered, bark exfoliation, wood into a gritty white ossification posture, found in nature. This is the case on the bonsai, such as appeared in the trunk of the top shoots or branches, called God. If appear in other parts of the trunk is called homes
