Corn (Zea mays L.) can be inoculated with conidia of Peronos-clerospora sorghi (Weston and Uppal) C.G. Shaw to test its susceptibility to downy mildew. Inoculated plants that did not exhibit symptoms of the system of sorghum downy mildew (chlorotic green leaves several days after inoculation) were considered disease resistant. At least 21 days after inoculation with conidia, in order to prove that there is no symptom of the plant
