从松、云杉球果中取种——目前还是一个极繁重的过程,需要很多时间。甚至在最好的球果干燥器内把含有20-25%水分的新球果种子取出要耗费16-26小时,即使把球果预先晾一晾也只能使干燥时间缩短6-10小时。但进行预干本身就占去了许多时间并且还需要增加一定的劳力。提高温度和增大通风作用可以加速干燥过程,但温度只能在一定范围内逐步提高:最初3小时温度一定要在30°左右,其次3小时约40°,以后只有对松果才可以提高到55°,而云杉球果则不能超过50°。如果把温度稍微高出这个限度,那会使种子过热而降低质量。
