Folk art, with aesthetic, cognitive, practical, educational and entertainment functions, represents the spirit of the Chinese nation’s culture. Without the part of folk culture, the culture of the Chinese nation loses its foundation. Folk art embodies the traditional Chinese art and design Aesthetic thinking and the consciousness of creation thinking. It can be said that without this part of folk art, our art education is incomplete. However, from the perspective of current university curriculum design of art and design, in the field of art teaching, how to integrate the traditional Chinese cultural connotation into the design concept organically? Most schools do not have a complete teaching system of folk art course.
