延庆县北山带玉渡山脚下有个古老的村子叫玉皇庙村,相传明宣德七年(公元1432年)在这里建了一座玉皇庙,后来周边发展成如今的小村落。玉皇庙村背依风景秀美的玉渡山;村西是有着“千古之谜”之称的古崖居;与它并立而行的是松山国家森林公园;村东边是有着“小漓江”之称的龙庆峡;村北是春秋时期山戎部落墓地遗址,建有山戎墓葬陈列馆,记载了不一样的墓葬方式和殉牲习俗;从玉皇庙村前眺是碧波荡漾的官厅水库;一条旅游观光大道——古龙路从村前经过,交通十分便利。
