在中、高档彩色打印机市场上一直处于领先地位的厂商Tektronix公司,日前在北京发布了新型热升华式彩色打印机Phaser480.这一产品的问世,加上原有的PhaserⅡSDX(A4幅面)的热升华式彩色打印机,使Tektronix公司在热升华彩打产品方面更加完善.由于A3幅面的满版彩色图像大约需要48MB的内存,因此Phaser 480采用高速(24MHz)的AMD29000微处理器以处理大量信息.又由于对存储器的最佳管理,使得只需32MB存储器作为标准配置即可打印出297×420毫米的“出血”彩色图像.若需加速打印速度,还可将存储器扩充至64MB.传统的热升华式彩色打印机使用时需与一专用主机并用,因为所有的图像处理及Spooling均需由该主机处理,这样不仅处理速度较慢,而且处理图像之时,主机无法做其他工格,影响了工作效率.
