系统功能语言学有概念功能,人际功能和语篇功能等三个重要的功能。在《功能语法导论》中,韩礼德明确提出,构建系统功能语法的目的之一是为语篇分析提供一个理论框架。对《波利安娜》文本中的主位结构和衔接手段进行语篇功能分析,,从而来揭示作品中的人物心理活动及相互关系,进而挖掘小说主题及更深层次的东西。同时,检验系统功能语法在文学作品分析中的可操作性。
Systemic functional linguistics has three important functions: conceptual function, interpersonal function and textual function. In Introduction to Functional Grammar, Halliday made it clear that one of the purposes of constructing a system functional grammar is to provide a theoretical framework for discourse analysis. The textual analysis of the thematic structure and cohesive means in “Pollyanna” texts reveals the psychological activities and interrelationships of the characters in the works, and then explores the theme of the novel and deeper things. At the same time, test the operability of system function grammar in literary works analysis.
