1832年的一天,一位文弱的青年人来到了赫赫有名的米兰音乐学院,要求参加学院录取新生的考试。可是,他被告知已经超过校方规定的考生年龄,米兰音乐学院规定人学新生不得超过14岁,而这位青年已经18岁了。不过,学院的负赍人告诉他,如果他在演奏和作曲等方面有出众的才能,那么年龄限制可以放宽。但是,这位青年的钢琴演奏没有任何一鸣惊人的出色效果,他也交不出什么作品来。于是,米兰音乐学院以“缺乏音乐才能”为由拒绝了他的人学申请。
One day in 1832, a frail young man came to the prestigious Milan Conservatory and asked to attend the college entrance examination. However, he was told that he had exceeded the age of the candidates prescribed by the school and that the Milan Conservatory stipulated that a man must be no older than 14, and the young man is 18 years old. However, college negatives told him that age restrictions could be relaxed if he had outstanding talents in playing and composing music. However, the youth piano performance without any blockbuster outstanding results, he could not produce any work to come. As a result, Milan Conservatory of Music “lack of music talent ” as an excuse to reject his application for humanity.
