我县是葡萄栽培的新区。1983年夏,为了填补水果生产的空缺,重庆市组织了对长江流域葡萄产区的考察和学习,寻求适合南方高温多湿地区种植的葡萄品种,以便引种栽培。同年冬季,我县从上海农科院首批引进36个葡萄品种,成片扦插试种。1985—1986年,对筛选出的北醇、白香蕉、巨峰、康拜尔早生等4个比较丰产、抗病的葡萄品种,育苗繁殖10余万株,在县内推广栽培。1987—1988年,我们又从上海、郑州等地第二批引进红富士等10个大果型
