As the first stop of the gold rush in Africa for the Chinese companies, South Africa has a glamorous view of the economic attributes of South Africa. Chinese companies are more interested in other parts of the continent and South Africa as a base for gold rushes to Africa. Africa has abundant mineral resources and has facilitated economic development. However, Africa’s development does not rely solely on natural resources.
