江西省重点中学——都昌二中创办于1999年,其前身为教师的摇篮——都昌师范。学校现有65个教学班,5000余名学生,241名教师,其中,中高级教师190人,江西省“百千万人才工程”1人、省级学科带头人2人、省级骨干教师11人、市教学明星1人、市学科带头人8人、市骨干教师15人、硕士学位教师15人。校园坐落在鄱湖之滨的都昌县城中心区域,占地120亩,建筑面积3.6万平方米。教育教学设施齐全,教学区、运动区、生活区布局合理,办学条件优越,是一所宜教宜学的花园式学校。
