The microscopic examination of 5 751 dead P. massoniana collected from 48 counties (cities and districts) in 9 prefectures (prefecture) in Fujian from 2001 to 2005 showed that the average rate of nematodes in dead pine and dead wood was 91.29 %, Of which pine wood nematode accounted for 67.56%, other nematodes (nematode species need to be further identified) accounted for 23.73%, wireless insects accounted for 8.71%. The average density of nematodes isolated from wood sticks was 1 028. g-1, which was significantly higher than that of the nematodes separated by wood chips 286. g-1. In the vertical distribution, the different distributions of pine wood nematode were widely distributed in the trunk of the dead and dead wood, which showed three types: the type Ⅰ was the density of the upper trunk was higher than the middle and lower; the type Ⅱ was the density of the nematodes in the middle of the trunk more than the upper and lower ; Ⅲ type lower trunk density of nematodes than the upper and middle. In the horizontal distribution, it is not affected by the seasons, whether it is autumn or spring, the nematode density of the inner wood is 863-1 563.g-1 (an average of 1 138 g · 1) 6,89 ~ 1 463 (average 986 .g-1) were higher than those of the corresponding outer nematodes from 342 to 631. g-1 (average 586 g · 1) and 209 to 431 g-1 .g-1). Therefore, in the monitoring of pine wilt disease in our province, should be in the trunk, the middle and lower parts of the trunk, and near the middle of sampling at the same time, the wood sticks to separate nematodes more accurate.
