在《物理通报》1996年第1期上发表的《关于物体浮沉条件的探讨》一文中,作者认为只能依力的关系而不能据密度关系来判断物体的浮沉,否则便会造成基本概念混乱。其理由大意如下:1 浮沉条件所指的物体的密度应附加条件,须分“空心”和“实心”两种情况来讨论,要不然便有“特殊”代“一般”之嫌。2 即使加入了“空心”和“实心”的条件,用密度关系来判断物体的浮沉也缺乏一般性。比如:钢针、刀片这些密度比水大的物体能由于水的表面张力而浮于水面,这就破坏了用密度关系来判断物体浮沉的条件。
