滁州报是中共滁县地委的机关报。去年7月1日正式复刊,现为四开四版,每周出版三期。作为一张地区小报,怎样把它办成既是宣传马列主义、毛泽东思想的阵地,又是群众喜闻乐见的良师益友,并非是一件容易的事情。复刊初期,我们组织了3个调查组深入到全区7个县的广大农村和工厂开展调查研究,接着又多次召开编辑部全体人员会议,研究和探讨怎样办好地区小报的路子,提出了“围绕三个特点,努力办好滁州报”的要求。一、抓住小报的特点,革除长(文章长)、空(空话多)、窄(报道面窄)的弊病,做到文章短小精悍,版面图文并茂。为此,我们规定了几道杠杠:文章的字数:新闻和言论短的一二百字,中的三四百字,长的五六百字;通讯短的四五百字,中的五六百字,长的不超过千字;每期报纸,文章加图片不得少于40篇,每版(除《琅琊》副刊版)文字稿不得少于10篇,照片不少于两幅,题图和插图不少于三幅;在文章的题材上,以新闻为主,每期还要有通讯、言论(杂谈)、署名文章、连载小说等;每期知识性、趣味性的东西不少于两千字;在内容上,一个时期(比如一个月)工、农、财、文、教、卫、体、青、妇、政法、党、团、民兵等都有一定位置;每期每版不但有
