马克思曾经指出;“一种科学只有成功地运用数学时,才算达到真正完善的地步.”科学发展的历史也已证明:知识的数学化是一个必然的历史过程.作为图书馆学分支学科的“期刊学”(暂且这样称呼它),也毫不例外地与数学有着千丝万缕的联系.而文献计量学的产生为期刊工作的研究找到了与数学联姻的契机.
Marx once pointed out: “Only when science is successfully applied to mathematics can we reach the point where it is truly perfect.” The history of scientific development has also proved that the mathematicalization of knowledge is an inevitable historical process. As a branch of library science Journals (for the time being called it) is also inextricably linked with mathematics, and the emergence of bibliometrics as an opportunity for journal work has found a marriage with mathematics.
