This paper discusses three syntactic issues related to “all ”: 1) the syntactic status of “all ”, 2) the syntactic status of “all ” on the syntactic derivation, 3) the Chinese , “All ” and English all the floating quantitative syntax. The study found that “all ” has dual syntactic status: function center and argument extrapolation. Regardless of the syntactic status of “all”, it has a close syntactic relationship with the functional central Dist (usually “”). The main reason for the syntactic differences and similarities shown in Chinese “all ”, “all ” and English all in terms of floating-plan quantification is that the Chinese Dist is a strong central language while the English Dist is a weak central language.
