Two life-threatening adverse reactions, primary pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac valve abnormalities are associated with the causal relationship between fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine. This article describes the entire process from the onset of these adverse reactions to the withdrawal of fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine from the world and presents new advances in the effects of withdrawal and the adverse reaction mechanisms of fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine .
