中国上下有五千多年的文明历史,其中两千多年是封建王朝的历史,但是能被称为盛世的年代其实并不多,而在这大大小小的盛世中,唐太宗所创造的“贞观”便是其中之一,也是最让后人为之称赞的盛世之一。“贞观之治”所带来的盛世并不是偶然的,唐太宗选贤举能,知人善任,励精图志便是其中非常重要的原因。直到今天人们只要提及“贞观之治”总能想起房玄龄、杜如晦、王珪、魏征、虞世南、马周、李靖、李世勣等名臣。
