当一架被劫持的民航客机撞向纽约世界贸易中心北楼的时候,时间凝固在了2001年9月11日美国东部时间上午8时45分。美联社在几分钟之后发出的快讯说“一架飞机撞向世界贸易中心(大楼)”。此时没有人能知道除了用一句话新闻进行报道外,还能做些什么。在接下去的90多分钟里,恐怖分子对美国纽约和华盛顿地区发动的一系列恐怖袭击令全世界瞠目,也使全球新闻媒体躁动起来。从事件发生的那一刻起,一场没有硝烟的新闻战已经打响。
When a hijacked airliner crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York, time was frozen at 8.45 a.m. EST on September 11, 2001. A few minutes later, the Associated Press issued an alert saying “a plane crashed into the World Trade Center (building).” At this point no one can know what else to do besides reporting in one sentence. In the ensuing 90 minutes, a series of terrorist attacks by the terrorists on the United States in New York City and Washington area made the world astonish and annoyed the global news media. From the moment of the incident, a no-smoking news war has started.
