勇武,是侠的最重要资源之一,但却不是必要的构成,对于武侠文艺它才是不可缺的要素。勇,则与侠不可分,无侠不勇,无勇非侠,勇在武之上。何谓勇?按照蒂利希的思想,勇,就是不顾“非存在”的威胁而对“存在”进行肯定(见蒂利希著《存在的勇气》)。行侠,无论是报恩仇,平不平,还是为国为民,必然有死亡、伤残、危险等“非存在”时时伴随。勇,就是在自我肯定中把“非存在”的威胁与焦虑担当起来。
