田林老山是百色地区天然森林保存较好的区域。它是经过一度一扫光的采伐方式得到了教训,因而决定改变经营方向,把残余的天然森林保护起来,并对采伐迹地进行人工造林。现存天然森林约8万多亩,宜林荒山5万多亩,分布还较集中,并设有林场专门管理。这个区域正好位于东部亚热带和西部亚热带以及中亚热带和南亚热带交义分界处,但属于东部南亚热带最西北端,植物种类组成复杂,过去从未作过植物学调查。为了规划这个林区的发展方向,选择适宜的造林树种,我们曾多次到过这里,并作过短期的植被研究,重点放在天然森林上面。所得资料整理如下,供有关方面参考。
Tianlin Laoshan is a better preserved natural forest in Baise area. It learned from the once-sweeping harvesting method that it decided to change its direction of operation, protect the remaining natural forests and make afforestation on the deforested lands. The existing natural forest of about 80,000 acres, 50000 acres of barren hills, the distribution is more concentrated, and a forest management. The area is located just east of the subtropical and western subtropics and the subtropical and southern subtropical borderline, but belongs to the most northwestern end of the eastern South Asia subtropical, plant species complex composition, in the past have never been botany investigation. In order to plan the development direction of this forest area and choose appropriate afforestation species, we have been here many times and conducted short-term vegetation research, focusing on the natural forest. The information obtained is organized as follows for reference by relevant parties.
