为了替代在使用中易剥落、破碎且磨耗高的中锰球铁磨球,研制出了一种在相同生产条件成本不高,易于转产的新材质——含有一定数量碳化物的铸态珠光体基体球墨铸铁,并将新材质与马氏体基体球墨铸铁、中锰球铁进行了磨料磨损特性与冲击疲劳抗力的对比。结果表明:在软磨料三体磨损和冲击磨料磨损条件下,新材质耐磨性低于马氏体球铁,但优于中锰球铁,而冲击疲劳抗力则大大优于中锰球铁,甚至优于马氏体球铁。
