没有故事,没有情节,没有自然风光,没有历史沧桑。为什么要拍一部《在自己的房间》呢?它能带给我们什么呢?每个人都有“存在着”的困惑,但对这种困惑的思考从来都属于宗教家或哲学家,用影像去表达似乎无法完成。怎样的影像,才能够承载生与死,爱与恨、战争与和平这些人类存在的困惑与思索的深邃意义呢?《在自己的房间》进行了尝试。编导张申说,他用了电影、麻雀和我三个元素体现了他在自己房间里观看与思考的状态。那么,电影——麻雀——我,这三个毫无关联的主体怎么能够诠释人类存在的终极意义呢?作为片子的创作者,张申又是怎样通过非宗教的方式,以此岸含蓄的感性手段去到达彼岸的理性思辨呢?
