表面和界面物理,是当前物理研究中的一个重要领域,它不但有重要的理论意义,更主要是由于它在近代技术的应用中有巨大潜力,许多物理过程发生在表面上,包括材料的腐蚀、摩擦、中毒以及催化等,不少表面薄膜微电子器件和光电子探测器件的长期稳定性,也往往与界面上杂质的分凝有关。
Surface and interface physics is an important field in current physics research.
