The relationship between the neutron yield and the energy of the incident particles and the mass of the target nucleus when the 44GeV or 18GeV12C ions hit the Cu target or the Pb target was measured by the CR-39 stacking detector. When the incident energy is increased from 18GeV to 44GeV, the neutron yield of Cu target increases by 2.12 ± 0.19 times and the neutron yield of Pb target increases by 2.04 ± 0.15 times. The ratio of Pb target to Cu target neutron yield was 2.54 ± 0.20 and 2.56 ± 0.20 at 44GeV and 18GeV, respectively.
