根据地质矿产部下达的“中国滨海砂矿分布特征及富集规律研究”专题科研任务及年初审批的总体设计要求,地质矿产部海洋地质研究所砂矿组的全体同志,在本所地球物理室电法组、浅地层剖面组,以及省地矿局招远六队四分队测量组的支援配合下,自今年年初以来,相继对掖县刁龙咀—黄县龙口一带,进行了第四纪地质填图、直流电测深、滨海底质调查和钻探施工,共完成海区调查面积500余平方公里,浅层剖面长度为330公里,海上浅钻3口,陆上浅钻8口,取得了大量的底质、地球物理和岩芯资料.初步查明了这一带的古海岸位置和古泻湖的大致范围.为深入研究该地区古海岸线的演化、古河道的变迁和沉积物的垂向分布,提供了丰富的基础资料.野外工作结束后,目前已转入室内样品整理和分析测试工作.
